About the Hidden Schools
If you’ve read any of the books, you’ll know where the name comes from: The Hidden Schools is essentially a university for magic in the world of Craft Sequence, where several of the main characters have studied.
It’s not necessarily a nice place to be in the story, but I couldn’t resist the name for this site.
This site is currently small and run entirely by one person, but has the grand ambitions of becoming an archive of everything you could want to know about the Craft Sequence. Essays! Analysis! Art! Community! General flailing!

I planned to be anonymous when I started this site, but that’s kind of out of the window given the video interview with Max Gladstone (watch here!) so hi, I’m Hannah and I run the Hidden Schools.
Have some random information about me:
Had 6 addresses in 3 countries in 18 months
Practically live in cafes - most of this site is built and written in cafes, usually late at night
My favourite book is actually not a Craft Sequence book! It’s Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein. Go read it.
I’ve historically been a fandom lurker, so even after a few years of this, the “sharing my stuff and talking to people about it” thing is weirdly hard.
Failed polyglot. I STARTED learning a bunch of languages, but never followed through so now just muddle them all up.
I have IDEAS for how to turn the Craft Sequence into a TV show. Producers, please call.
